Sudeep was the dialogue writer of the movie Ankur Maina aur Kabutar (Operation Pink Pigeon), an Indo-Mauritius collaboration with the Children Film Society of India and Mauritius Film Development Cooperation. This movie won the Best Children’s Film Award at the 37th National Film Awards in India in 1990.
Sudeep was the lead Researcher and Writer for the biographical documentary film Kathni Karni Ek Si This 1989 documentary film which won Best Historical Recreation National Award in 1990 for accuracy of historical portrayal of the life and times of the iconic figure Jamnalal Bajaj, an Indian industrialist (founder of the Bajaj Group of companies), freedom fighter and Mahatma Gandhi's adopted son.
Sudeep authored stories, screenplays and dialogues for multiple Indian TV series including Parikrama, Aaj Ka Din, Peele Patte, EK Kahani. The TV series Ek Kahaani, produced by Manju Singh showcased classic and contemporary Indian and International literature and explored relationships, philosophy, social issues and folklore.
The first movie to premier in Bollywood cinema which approached the topic of AIDS was Naya Zaher in 1991 directed by Jyoti Sarup and its story writer was Sudeep.
१९८९ की जीवनी वृत्तचित्र फिल्म 'कथनी करनी एक सी के लिए प्रमुख शोधकर्ता और लेखक सुदीप जी थे। यह फ़िल्म भारतीय के प्रतिष्ठित उद्योगपति, बजाज ग्रुप के संस्थापक, स्वतंत्रता सेनानी और महात्मा गांधी के दत्तक पुत्र, जमनालाल बजाज की जीवनी पर निर्भर है। समय के ऐतिहासिक चित्रण की सटीकता के लिए इस फ़िल्म ने १९९० में भारत का ‘सर्वश्रेष्ठ ऐतिहासिक मनोरंजन राष्ट्रीय’ पुरस्कार जीता था।
सुदीप ने कई भारतीय टीवी श्रृंखलाओं के लिए कहानियां, पटकथा और संवाद लिखे, जैसे की आज का दिन, पीले पत्ते, एक कहानी। मंजू सिंह द्वारा निर्मित टीवी श्रृंखला एक कहानी, भारतीय और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय साहित्य दोनों पर आधारित कहानियों को लाने में अनुकरणीय थी, विशेष रूप से रिश्तों, दर्शन, सामाजिक मुद्दों और लोककथाओं पर कहानियां। सुदीप पहली बॉलीवुड फिल्म के लिए कहानी लेखक थे जिसने एड्स के विषय को छुआ - नया जहर (निर्देशक: ज्योति सरूप, १९९१)
